Snape Maltings - Flipside Festival - 6, 7, 8 October 2017

Dive into a weekend full of literature, music, film and art.

Margaret Atwood will open the festival with the keynote speech on 'How Do We Live (Or Die) Now' and FlipSide's Saturday Night Dance Party will feature Brazilian classics from Monica Vasconcelos and the London Bossa Collective.

So much at FlipSide is free - the Big Top Tent  plays host to live Brazilian music curated by Luiz Moraes; the Dovecote will house an installation of Jelly Green's paintings made in the Brazilian rainforest and the Pond Gallery will show the work of fine art printmaker and painter Katherine Jones.  In the intimate Tack Room watch Latin America and John Berger on Film, two days of the best film-making, introduced by the makers.  Find your voice in the complete reading of Bruce Chatwin's In Patagonia and Jean Giono's The Man Who Planted Trees.

Bring your family to FlipSide and take them to Children's literature events, the Art Tent, puppet shows and our new Jungle Trail with a sound installation of the Brazilian Rainforest, music, storytelling and shadow puppets...

Forget heads or tails, the coin will always land FlipSide up.
